In the PCLAC book I put together all information of my two German books, 'Kontrollierte Akupunktur für Hunde und Pferde' (Controlled Acupuncture in Dogs and Horses), published 2005 and 'Kontrollierte Ohrakupunktur bei Hund und Pferd' (Controlled Ear Acupuncture in Dogs and Horses), published 2007. From the first book already about 4000 pieces are sold alone in Germany. So I think the new English book could also be of interest for English speaking veterinary colleagues!
The book explains the basic principles of traditional acupuncture (e.g. 5 Elements, 8 Priciples, Co- cycle, Sheng Cycle) in a very easy understandable way.
All traditional rules like, Shu- Mo- Treatment, Linked Meridians (or Connected Vessels), Mother- Son- Rule, Midday- Midnight Concept and the principle of the Tendo Muscular Meridians (TMM).
But there is also a lot of very interesting new stuff!! Controlled Acupuncture to find and treat only the imbalanced (active) acupuncture points by RAC/VAS pulse control.
The really holistic treatment concept of integrating the 'Disturbing Focus Principle' into acupuncture treatment.
The integration of Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) into acupuncture treatment. This means much more than treating acupuncture points by laser instead of needles. LLLT is a wonderful independent treatment against inflammation, spondylosis, arthrosis, for wound healing, tendon healing, etc. and easy to combine with acupuncture.
Ear Acupuncture. This has never been published before: All the ear points of each joint, the spinal column, all organs like Liver, Spleen, Uterus, Kidneys etc., all pathways of each meridian on the ear and special ear points for treatment of psychic disorders are shown in more than 24 different photo quality ear maps, each for horses and dogs.
The scientific background of acupuncture and LLLT is explained.
PCLAC is demonstrated in more than 20 case studies with follow up photos of the patients in nearly every field of veterinary medicine.
The complete content you can see in the 'table of content' pdf.
Foreword
When I was asked to write something in English about the Pulse Controlled Laser Acupuncture Concept PCLAC I first thought to thrust my book 'Kontrollierte Akupunktur für Pferde und Hunde*' into the hands of a professional translator and things would turn out fine. But two years later there was still no English version available. To translate a text about Acupuncture seems a difficult task for a translator and for English speaking acupuncturists as well. In the meantime my second book 'Pulskontrollierte Ohrakupunktur bei Pferd und Hund**' is prepared and will be published at the same time. This book is now a completely new version and combines the content of my two German books. It also contains all my body acupuncture maps that are not created by transposition from humans to animals, but by RAC control with the specific Reininger meridian frequencies of the laser. With these frequencies one only finds acupuncture points of that special meridian at their place in humans, dogs or horses. Most of them I found in the well known IVAS places, some differ a little bit, a few were found in really different places. The book also contents all my ear acupuncture maps with all orthopedic locations (fetlock, knee, hip, shoulder elbow, vertebras etc.), all organ points (liver, kidneys, uterus, spleen, pancreas, pineal gland etc.) and one map for each pathway of all meridians on the ear. The book also contents parts of lectures and courses that I held in the last few years in different places of the world about my research results in COPD (RAO), back pain, wound healing etc.. Hopefully this book will give the reader an idea about the concept of PCLA that I developed over the last 20 years in veterinary acupuncture. It bases on TCM and on Western medicine. Two human acupuncturists that created 'Pulse Controlled Laser Acupuncture' influenced my ideas most. They were Dr. Paul Nogier and my teacher Prof. Dr. Frank Bahr. East and West are getting close in ear acupuncture in a truly impressive way. The concept of Pulse Controlled Laser Acupuncture PCLA is a holistic therapy concept explained as best as I can in this book. It is far from perfect and a permanent development of science causes that we never have a final knowledge. Already in the 2 years, while writing this book several ideas changed and the concept developed. That means nothing will ever be perfect, but this book shows the today state of this concept. Nonetheless, I hope that the concept of PCLA is explained well enough that you will be able to follow my thoughts and perhaps can integrate some of them into your daily work.
